Why it is built this way
Your books are files on your own machine.
Most accounting software rents you access to your own accounts. MoRaj Ledger does the opposite, on purpose, and that one decision is what makes the rest of it possible.
It works offline
Power cut, no data bundle, network down: it makes no difference. Everything runs on your computer, so a day without internet is a normal working day.
You own the licence
You pay once and it is yours. If you ever stop paying for updates, the software keeps working exactly as it is. Your ledger is never held to ransom.
You can always leave
Every statement exports to Excel, every document to PDF, and the ledger itself is a standard PostgreSQL database in your own folder. There is no lock-in.
What it does
Everything from the first voucher to the year-end close.
One system for the whole cycle, with every figure traceable back to the entry behind it. Switch off the parts you do not use and they simply leave the menu.

Built for Ghana
The statutory work is already in it.
Not a foreign ledger with Ghana bolted on. The returns, schedules and certificates are produced from the entries you have already made, ready to print for the authority.
- Withholding taxGoods, services, works and sitting allowances, a rate per line, GRA certificates for each payee
- WHT return schedulesThe monthly schedules, including DT 110
- VATOutput and input VAT, a VAT return tied to the ledger, credit carried forward
- WHVAT and leviesWithholding-VAT agent credit certificates, and a community levy you name yourself
- PAYE and SSNITThe PAYE schedule, DT 0107A, and SSNIT Tier 1 and Tier 2
- Tourism levyThe 1% levy and its return, for hotels, restaurants and tourism businesses
What protects the books
Designed for the day something goes wrong.
An accounting system earns its keep in the bad week, not the good one.
- Nothing is edited awayA posted entry cannot be changed. A correction is a reversal that keeps the original and the correction on the record, which is what an auditor expects to see.
- A second pair of eyesLarge payments and hand-keyed journals wait for a second approver, at thresholds you set.
- It checks itselfAfter every posting it re-proves that each sub-ledger agrees with its control account, and says so the moment one does not.
- Backups that are provenScheduled backups, encrypted copies safe to keep in a cloud folder, and a one-click drill that restores into a scratch copy to prove the backup works.
- Months you can closeSign off a reconciled month and lock a finished year, so the figures you reported stay the figures in the books.
- A full audit trailEvery person signs in as themselves, and every action is recorded against their name.

Free trial
Thirty days, everything unlocked.
The whole product, every phase, on your own figures. It installs alongside anything else you use and keeps its own data.
- Send us a messageOn WhatsApp or by email. Tell us your organisation and whether you use Windows or a Mac.
- We set you upWe send the installer for your computer and help you through the first ten minutes, usually the same working day.
- Work on your real booksEnter your own figures for 30 days. If you buy, a licence key unlocks the same copy and everything stays where it is.
When the trial ends, your books stay open
You can still view them, print them, export every statement to Excel and take a backup. Only new entries stop until a licence key is entered. We will never hold your accounting data behind a payment.
Why we send it rather than offer a download
The installer is not distributed through the app stores, so a computer that has never seen it asks for confirmation before it runs. Handing it over in person means someone is there for that first step.
Current build 0.8.135, Windows and macOS.
Founding customers
Our first ten customers pay less, and we say why.
MoRaj Ledger is new, and choosing it early means trusting a product before others have. That is worth something, so the first ten organisations get a lower price, more help and a way out. The offer ends on 31 October 2026.
- 35% off anythingEverything for GH₵6,175 instead of GH₵9,500, yours for ever on one computer.
- First year of updates includedNew versions, and the changes that follow each GRA and SSNIT budget, for twelve months.
- We do the setup with youChart of accounts, opening balances and your first reconciliation, on your own figures.
- Ninety days to change your mindA full refund, and we help you export everything out.
- Your price is locked for a yearStart with MoRaj Ledger and add payroll, stores or grants later at the same founding rate.
What we ask in return: if it works for you, tell someone. A call with a prospect or a few sentences we may quote. It is never a condition of the refund or of support.

Questions
What people ask before they start.
Does it need the internet?
No. Everything runs on your computer. The internet is only used, when it is there, to check for a newer version and to fetch Bank of Ghana exchange rates, which you can also type in yourself.
Where are my books kept?
On your own computer, in a standard PostgreSQL database in the application's folder. Backups go to a folder you choose, and can be encrypted with a passphrase so they are safe to keep in a cloud folder.
What if the computer is lost or breaks?
Restore your latest backup on the new machine and carry on. The one-click restore drill lets you prove a backup works before you ever need it, without touching your live books.
Can more than one person use it?
Yes. Each person gets their own sign-in and role on the licensed computer, larger payments can require a second approver, and every action is recorded against the person who took it.
We use Excel or another package today. Can we move across?
Yes. You start from your opening balances and your chart of accounts. For founding customers we do that setup with you, along with your first bank reconciliation.
What happens if we stop paying for updates?
Nothing stops. The licence is yours for ever, and the version you have keeps working. Updates are optional, at 20% of the licence a year.
